Financial Education Made Simple

People Behind Your Financial Clarity

Two certified financial planners who got tired of the industry's obsession with complicated jargon and decided to do something about it. We've spent the last decade helping everyday Australians figure out where their money actually goes.

Started in a Sydney coffee shop in 2019. Still drink too much coffee.

Romy Castellanos

Co-founder & Planning Lead

Spent eight years at a major bank before realizing most people just need someone to explain budgeting without the sales pitch. Has a knack for spotting spending patterns you didn't know you had. Outside work, she's probably cycling around Centennial Park or attempting sourdough.

Dagna Wolfe

Co-founder & Education Director

Former high school economics teacher who transitioned into financial planning because teenagers asked better questions than most adults. Believes budgeting should be taught like cooking—practical, hands-on, and without unnecessary complexity. Runs weekend workshops in Newcastle when she's not building course content.

How We Actually Work

Most financial advice treats everyone like they're preparing for retirement at 65. That's not realistic anymore. We start with where you are right now—not where some textbook says you should be.

No Product Pushing

We don't earn commissions. Your budget plan won't mysteriously include products we happen to sell.

Plain Language Policy

If we catch ourselves using terms like "liquidity optimization," someone buys lunch for the team.

Real Scenarios Only

Case studies based on actual client situations, not theoretical models that assume perfect behavior.

Self-Paced Learning

Our autumn 2025 program launches in March with modules you can complete around shift work, parenting, or whatever else fills your week. Progress tracking that doesn't feel like homework.

Community support network

Peer Discussion Groups

Monthly virtual meetups where you can compare notes with others figuring out similar challenges. No awkward icebreakers, just practical conversation.

Tools That Actually Help

Budget templates that work with Australian banking apps. Tracking sheets that don't require a degree in Excel. Resources designed for people who have better things to do than manual data entry.
